The only costs associated with submitting a production for consideration is the cost of complimentary tickets for our council members to come review your production.
We do our best to have at least 4 council members attend each submitted production. We also follow the production company’s complimentary ticket policy.

In order to be eligible for a Greater Hartford Excellence in Community Theater Award, your production bust meet the following requirements:
Be performed in Hartford County.
Include at least 50% CT-based performers/technicians.
Production must be submitted with at least 2 performances.

A theater company can submit as many eligible productions as they would like in any given season.

Nominations for productions in the 2026 season will be announced in January 2027 on www.ghecta.com and on all GHECTA social media platforms. Producers will also be notified of nominations via email.

Greater Hartford Excellence in Community Theater Award winners will be announced at a ceremony in February 2027.
